Hybrid to Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV)

You have an existing hybrid car? You would like to improve the mileage, and want to enable short trip driving without ever using a drop of gasoline? The kits are specific to different type/ generation hybrids, and can be ordered / work for many different kinds of hybrid cars, so it will be worth your while to consider this. The fact is, most US adults only drive 15 to 30 miles per day, while you have spent twenty to thirty thousand dollars on a hybrid. But if you are mainly driving trips less than 10 miles one way, you are unnecessarily burning gasoline. You may be getting net mileage of 40 to 50 MPG net, you may be getting less (it is not enough just to see the impressive dashboard screen say 100 mpg during optimum moments in time, you must actually measure miles driven divided by actual amount of gasoline replaced to know the true net mileage of your hybrid for any reasonable length of time.)

But for hybrid drivers who have a reasonable amount of short driving, you can increase your real mileage by 40% to 100%. With this system installed, for city-only driving, 15 to 30 miles per day, you may have days and days actually consuming zero gasoline—so if the amount of electricity used in plug-in charging is converted / common sized to gas not purchased etc, it could be the magic 100 or more equivalent-MPG for common weight hybrid sedans and coupes. It will never get as much as an all-electric car will get, because of the weight difference (your hybrid has a full size internal combustion engine, gas tank, radiator etc, all of this has heavy mass).

Prices including installation are presently around $2000 for a 2kwh system, $3500 for a 4 kwh system. Larger systems are also available (see link). The systems do not interfere with the functioning of your hybrid, rather they introduce new lithium batteries, and the means to directly charge them with a cord / electric outlet at your home or business. 1. 1) To save money on gas now. The Electric Car (msv) is here now, e-conversions are here now, ready for you! Huge discounts make it dirt cheap for the electric car, the greatest thing since fire !


2) The electricity is very cheap, only 6.2 kwh of electricity recharges an E-Car from 0 to 100%, costing 80 cents, around 2 cents per mile. Most e-car drivers find they average only 40 cents per nite. And the carbon gas generated by this amount of electricity is nothing compared to a gas car driving 40 miles. 3) You have plenty of short or medium trip driving anyway, so why burn unneeded gasoline? Why pollute when you don't need to ? Have you actually read about carbon gas from cars? It will turn your stomach. Check your own car on www.fueleconomy.gov .


4) The Zenn, Zap, Sky, and Benjy are street-legal on all Texas streets having up to a 45 mph speed limit. Any time you are in your car but not on a highway, think to yourself, "I could be driving an e-car right now, same speed, same comfort, no gas/ expense, and no pollution." Do it ! And they are cheap.


5) There are many fuel efficient cars now-- however even the best of them, the latest hybrid, is just a slightly better gas guzzler which -though it creates half the emissions of its non-hybrid brother, the hybrid of today still creates massive carbon gas emissions (4 to 6 tons per year), see "CARBON GAS" section.
